Hallmarked in London in 1874 by Edward Ker Reid, this incredible, Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Salver, stands on four feet, and features a gadroon border and an engraved coat of arms to the centre. The salver measures 2.25"(6cm) tall, by 24.5"(62cm) in diameter and weighs an impressive 187.7 troy ounces (5.84kg). The coat of arms appears to belong to a member of the L'Estrange (or Le Strange) family, most likley that of Hamon Le Strange of Norfolk, and the motto reads 'mihi parta tueri' ('I will fight for what is mine').
