Titled "Cidade" due to its futuristic cityscape design, commissioned by renowned antiques firm Mallett for their contemporary Meta Collection, and conceived and created by the design duo Barber and Osgerby, responsible, among other items, for the London 2012 Olympic torch, this candle laden ‘Surtout de Table’ is reminiscent of the tradition of the 18th century favoured by Louis XIV, where silver candlesticks were used in number on a polished silver base to multiply the candlelight. Made circa 2009 this amazing gilt Britannia Standard Silver Centrepiece comprises of seven candlesticks on a rectangular curved corner base measuring 19 inches x 12 inches (48cm x 30.5cm). It weighs 259 troy oz in total.

Hallmarked circa 2000 by Patrick Mavros, this quite stunning, Sterling Silver Centrepiece Suite, would make a wonderful African landscape scene on any table, and comprises 9 freestanding elephant models, 4 acacia tree candle holders, and a central 'tree of lights' candelabrum with 3 fixed elephant models to the base. In total the suite weighs 683 troy ounces, and will hold 12 candles when all candle holders are being used.
The tree of lights candelabrum measures 16.5"(42cm) tall, by 17"(43cm) wide, by 16"(40.5cm) deep. The 3 larger tree candle holders measure approximately 8.5"(21.5cm) tall, by 18"(46cm) by 12"(30.5cm) deep.
