Titled "Cidade" due to its futuristic cityscape design, commissioned by renowned antiques firm Mallett for their contemporary Meta Collection, and conceived and created by the design duo Barber and Osgerby, responsible, among other items, for the London 2012 Olympic torch, this candle laden ‘Surtout de Table’ is reminiscent of the tradition of the 18th century favoured by Louis XIV, where silver candlesticks were used in number on a polished silver base to multiply the candlelight. Made circa 2009 this amazing gilt Britannia Standard Silver Centrepiece comprises of seven candlesticks on a rectangular curved corner base measuring 19 inches x 12 inches (48cm x 30.5cm). It weighs 259 troy oz in total.

Hallmarked in London in 1903 by Joseph Heming, this incredible, Edwardian, Antique Britannia Standard Silver Bowl, is wonderfully chased with acanthus and floral detailing, and striking lion mask drop ring handles. The bowl measures 11.25"(28.5cm) tall, by 13.5"(34.5cm) in diameter, and weighs a substantial 138 troy ounces.
