Hallmarked in London in 1882 by Samuel Whitford II, this very attractive, Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Sugar Basket, features bright cut engraved decoration to the body and foot, bead borders, and a gilt interior. The sugar basket measures 4.5"(11.5cm) tall (6" (15cm) tall with handle raised), by 5.75"(14.5cm) wide, by 4.5"(11.5cm) deep, and weighs 8.1 troy ounces.
