Hallmarked in London in 1887 by Walter & Charles Sissons, this stunning, Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Claret Jug, is realistically modelled to look like a Cantaloupe melon, with the glass presumably by Thomas Webb & Son's Ltd. The claret jug measures 8"(20.5cm) tall, by 5.75"(14.5cm) from handle to side, by 5.25"(13.5cm) deep. A Cantaloupe glass example can be found in The Kent Collection, number 913.
