Hallmarked in London in 1753 by Edward Aldridge, this attractive, George II, Antique Sterling Silver Sweetmeat Basket, features slat piercing, rope borders, and a twist handle. The basket measures 4.25"(11cm) tall with the handle up (2"(5cm) with the handle down) by 5.25"(13.5cm) wide, by 4.5"(11.5cm) deep, and weighs 3.2 troy ounces.

The sweetmeat basket measures 1.5"(4cm) tall with the handle down, by 6.75"(17cm) wide and weighs 4.1 troy ounces.
