Hallmarked in London in 1802 by John Mewburn, this very handsome, rare to find, George III, Antique Sterling Silver Saffron Pot, is oval in shape, and plain in style, featuring a wooden handle and finial, and heraldic engraving to both sides. The saffron pot measures 3.75"(9.5cm) tall, by 7.75"(20cm) from handle to spout, by 3"(7.5cm) deep, and weighs 7 troy ounces. The heraldic engraving shows a connection to the Huxley family.
