Hallmarked in London between 1936 & 1938 by Richard Comyns, this stunning, 5 piece, George VI period, Sterling Silver Tea Set on Tray, is in the art deco style, with shaped sides, and angular feet to each piece. The tea set on tray weighs a very impressive 202.55 troy ounces.
The tray measures 1.25"(3cm) tall, by 22.25"(56.5cm) wide, by 16.5"(42cm) deep. The coffee pot measures 8"(20.5cm) tall, by 8.75"(22cm) from handle to spout, by 3.75"(9.5cm) deep. The hot water pot measures 8"(20.5cm) tall, by 8.5"(21cm) from handle to spout, by 3.75"(9.5cm) deep. The teapot measures 5.75"(14.5cm) tall, by 9.75"(25cm) from handle to spout, by 4.5"(11.5cm) deep. The cream jug measures 3.25"(8.5cm) tall, by 5.5"(14cm) from handle to lip, by 2.5"(6.5cm) deep. The sugar bowl measures 3.25"(8.5cm) tall, by 6.25"(16cm) from handle to handle, by 3.25"(8.5cm) deep.
